Hello! I’m Lisa, a southern bibliophile living in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains with my husband and band of fur children. In addition to being a lover of all things bookish, I also enjoy playing piano, dabbling in photography and painting.
The Spine View is all about my life as a bibliophile. I love to talk about the books I read and make recommendations. I am always looking for my next great read. I especially love ARCs. Nothing is better than being one of the first to discover a new author or the next great series.
My taste in books runs the gambit of genres. If forced to choose, my favorites, at least at the moment, are: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Historical Fiction, Mystery, Paranormal, YA, Middle Grade, Poetry and some Romance on occasion.
How I rate books:
- 5 stars: Loved it. Could read again. Highly recommend.
- 4 stars: Good. Liked it but not enough to read again. Recommend.
- 3 stars: Average. Nothing special or had an issue with some aspect.
- 2 stars: Did not like or was not for me.
- 1 star: Could not finish. Waste of good reading time.
I review books I have purchased as well as books I receive from authors or publishers. Regardless of how I obtained a book, my review is entirely my own and it will be my honest opinion (though you may disagree). If I received a book for free it will be noted in the review.
While I welcome your comments, thoughts and reading suggestions, I highly encourage any disagreements to be respectful of others (a skill not everyone learned in kindergarten). I reserve the right to delete, without notice, any comments that I deem to be rude and disrespectful to other readers, authors or myself.
